Taking a Break

As of today, Jason can crawl! A few hours ago he went forward for the first time instead of backwards. As you can see from the pictures he has put a lot of effort into this. He has to lay his sweet little head down and take a break once in a while. I'm sure he wishes he could take a break from teething as well, but no such luck.

Just Hanging Out

Brad and Jason are just hanging out watching Fox news together in this picture. Amazing, my child already likes the news. Lately, we've found that he also likes dancing with us to You Tube music videos. When me and Jason need something to do while we are at home we just rock out to music. I can dance with him and sing at the top of my lungs and he has no idea I'm making a complete fool of myself. It is great. Sometimes he even thinks I am funny and will clap for me. I can't help but love that. As much as he likes the music, he likes getting out and seeing the world even more. Whoever invented the stroller was a genius.

New Photos

These are just a few of our newest photos. Jason can scoot backwards now. I set him on one end of the living room and he ends up under the couch. I think Jason and the baby on the E Trade commercials would get along great, they both talk on the phone. Jason would beat him hands down in a spit up contest though.

Growing Up!

It is hard to believe how much baby Jason has changed in the past seven months. Jason always has a favorite word that he likes to say all day. It was buh for a while, then ma, and now it is da. Right now we are working on crawling. Jason has been fighting it, he would much rather learn to walk, but we are still trying to convince him that crawling would be fun. A few of his favorite things right now are the stroller, kicking in the bath, playing the keyboard (I am starting him out young!), reading books and my cell phone. Every time my cell phone rings Jason gets a big smile on his face. He knows a lot of the time that means he gets to talk to his dad.

Christmas

I loved the time I was able to spend at "home" this Christmas. Even though we have only been in Corvallis for a few months and love it here, I still miss my family. Jason had lots of fun too visiting grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts and cousins. He grew up a lot while we were there. He learned he could sit up without any help and he got his first tooth for Christmas (not his two front teeth though). He had a lot of fun telling ma ma jokes, napping on his uncle Chris, playing with new toys, opening Christmas presents, and playing with his cousins.

All Smiles

We had our first professional photos taken when Jason was five months old. It didn't take much to get him to pose for the camera! He loves meeting new people so he smiled big for the photographer.
